NEW YOLK LAND is a game by NEW YOLK. This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to delete it.

Our promise: we never sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising.

What we collect, and why

What	Why
E-mail address	To sign you in with a one-time code, and to send messages your account needs.
Display name, governorate, birth year	Your game profile. Your birth year is used only for the under-18 rules. You choose your governorate; we never guess it.
Game progress	Your farm, items and in-game transactions, so your progress is saved on our server.
Your devices	Device name and type, so you can see where you're signed in and sign out.
Chat messages	So moderators can review them if someone reports them.
Player reports	To protect players from abuse.
Bug reports (F8)	A screenshot, recent log lines, the build number and your device type, so we can fix problems. The game strips e-mails, IP addresses and passwords from them before sending.
Website waitlist and contact form	Your e-mail (after you confirm it) to send your beta invite, and your message so we can answer it.

Voice is never recorded. Voice chat passes through our server live and is never copied or stored.

IP addresses are never stored as they are. We keep only a keyed hash (HMAC) of them, to limit abuse and flooding. On the website, that hash changes every month.

The website has no trackers, ads or cookies. It only keeps your language and a few display preferences in your browser, and those never reach us.

Under-18 players

Voice is off and can't be switched on.
Chat is quick chat only (ready-made messages), and other players' free text is hidden.
If we don't know a player's age, the under-18 rules apply.

How long we keep data

Your account and progress: until you delete your account.
Chat messages: 30 days.
Bug reports (F8): 90 days, or sooner if you delete your account.
Waitlist e-mail: until you unsubscribe (every e-mail has a link) or ask us to remove it.
Contact messages: until we've dealt with them, or you ask us to delete them.
Backups: one copy each night, and each copy is deleted after 14 days.

Deleting your account

During the beta, ask through the support form on the website, and we'll e-mail you to confirm.
You have 30 days to cancel.
After that, your e-mail, name, age, governorate and sign-in sessions are erased, along with the bug reports (F8) you sent.
In-game transactions keep an anonymous ID only, so the game's economy stays consistent.
An in-game delete button is coming in a later update.

Who helps us

Our servers: rented from Contabo in France (EU). They run the game, the database and the voice server, all operated by us.
Brevo: delivers our e-mails (sign-in codes and invites).
Cloudflare: hosts the website.

We don't give your data to anyone else unless the law requires it.
